This term, a new group of students are going to the lab three times a week.

So far we have learned the safety rules to be followed in the lab, the tools and equipment that we use in the lab. We have studied and experimented with the magnitudes mass, volume, density using the scales, graduated cylinders, droppers and beakers.

Last week we had to measure the volume of one drop of water.  Do you know how many drops of water there are in 1 mL of water? Some students guessed 6 drops, others 15 or 20 drops. Who was right?

This week we are doing posters about the mixture separation techniques and next week we are going to start the section: MY OWN EXPERIMENT.
