Rut and Valeria. among others, have done very nice pictures using the microscope.
The first preparation sample corresponds to rabbit tongue, the second one corresponds to an eucalyptus fruit and the last one  corresponds to a louse.
They have learned how to use the microscope, which kind of samples are suited to it, and finally they took very good pictures through the eyepiece.
These last few weeks we have been working with the use of equipment in the lab; we have measured mass, volume, density, temperature.
We had a lot of fun with the density lab, when we had to discover which of the given samples was more or less dense, by using the trial-and-error method.
And we have learnt how to register data, interpret data and make a graph of temperature versus time.
This year, we are going to the lab three times a week, during one term.
So far we have learned the safety rules to be followed in the lab, the tools and equipment that we use in the lab. We have studied and experimented with the magnitudes mass, volume, density using the scales, graduated cylinders, droppers and beakers.
Today we had to measure the volume of one drop of water. Do you know how many drops of water there are in 1 mL of water? Some students guessed 6 drops, others 15 or 20 drops. Who was right?
